ICTs IN AFRICA - A CONTINENT ON THE MOVE

All analysts finally agree that the African continent offers today the most promising opportunities and perspectives for the ICT industry. While the region is characterized by its diversity, one constant factor prevails: the deployment of mobile has offered a topical response for bridging the digital divide.

Today’s Africa is looking towards tomorrow. The youth, the new generations of business managers, of political leaders and of opinion makers are willing to see the continent, its economy, as well as their own wealth grow along with the domestic, regional and international markets. In other words, Africa is on the move.

Those who are not aware of this reality will miss the wide range of business and development opportunities. For sure, this is not the case of the 1000+ leaders who attended the Connect Africa Summit, and converged to Kigali, Rwanda and of October 2007 to convey a unique message: doing well while doing good.
