Recommendation ITU-T L.405 describes requirements of preconnectorised cabling components defined as housings, closures, cable assemblies and terminals, which are factory terminated with connectors. This recommendation covers additional requirements and characteristics to the existing ITU-T L-series Recommendations for optical cables, passive nodes, and connectors. This Recommendation : defines the types of components (cables, connectors, closures, boxes etc.) that are used for preconnectorised components, describes the additional requirements of preconnectorised components to the existing ITU-T Recommendations for optical cables, passive nodes, and connectors, shows any existing standards or recommendations that align with the components.
