"Work in IT is not only programming" - conference organised to celebrate the Girls in ICT Day

The conference was addressed to students of technical faculties. Its aim was to encourage them to choose ICT sector as a career path. It was opened by Ms Madalena Gaj, the President of UKE and Prof. Henryk Krawczyk, Rector of the Gdansk University of Technology. The conference was composed of two parts: discussion panel and thematic workshops. Participants of the first part, "Work in IT is not only programming" panel discussed the possibilities provided by ICT sector to employees to show that the work in this sector is much more than programming and inspire students to explore their options. The panel was followed by Q&A session. The second part of conference consisted of thematic workshops conducted by such companies of the ICT sector as: Huawei, Motorola Solutions, Cisco Poland, SAS Institute, Sygnity, Microsoft, Telewizja Polska S.A. and Ericpol.

The conference was attended by about 120 participants.
