On April 23, 2016, 150 girls aged 11-15 from Bridgewater and other local communities of Massachusetts, USA experienced the very first g4g Day at Bridgewater State University! This signature one day event links together science and technology with everyday life! It demonstrates the fun in science through hands-on workshops and activities run by role-model professionals in STEM-fields.
At BSU, out "greenlight girls" experienced 15 mind-blowingly fun workshops with a special emphasis on information technology and electronics. They learned to code with professionals from Cisco, experienced robotics by creating "bristlebots" with the help of a team from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, and loads more interactive workshops related to STEM!
With the generous support and sponsorship from companies, organisations, BSU undergraduate students, "Mom's Mentors," and our g4g team, this event was able to inspire future leaders in the ICT fields!
