Physical (on-site) and Virtual (remote) participation

As artificial intelligence increasingly shapes the structures of governance, commerce, and social life, the normative frameworks guiding its development carry consequences that will extend across generations. The session is anchored in Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi’s definition of compassion as both mindful and pragmatic problem-solving, and as a force for systemic and sustainable solutions. Building on concepts such as the Compassion Quotient™️ framework and the JEPS benchmark—grounded in Justice, Equality, Peace, and Sustainability—the discussion will explore how compassion can inform the design, governance, and deployment of artificial intelligence. Insights emerging from the dialogue will contribute to ongoing reflections on policy and governance approaches for governments, technology developers, academia, civil society, and other stakeholders working to ensure that AI advances human well-being and sustainable development.
