This session aims to inspire and equip girls/ and the educators who support them/ to pursue STEM pathways and engage confidently with emerging technologies. Through an interactive format, participants explore how AI can be leveraged for social good, how gender equality can be strengthened in ICT fields, and how to identify and mitigate bias in digital systems. The session highlights real world applications of AI, showcases women leaders in tech, and provides practical tools to foster inclusive digital skills development.
The workshop will also address structural barriers faced by women and girls in STEM, offering strategies to promote fair access to education, employment, and leadership opportunities in the digital economy. Participants will leave with actionable insights, resources, and a strengthened network of peers committed to advancing gender responsive digital transformation.

Panellists
Eng. Yvette Ramos
Eng. Yvette Ramos president WOMENVAI - Moderator France Moderator

Yvette Ramos is a telecommunications engineer (MSc) and MBA holder specializing in HR and change management. With 30 years of experience in the private sector, academia, and the UN, she is now finalizing a PhD in climate change and sustainable development at the University of Lisbon. She has led projects in telecommunications, taught management, and consulted for UN agencies like ITU and WMO, focusing on strategic planning and policy development for Least Developed Countries and Small Island States.
A pioneer as the first female president of Swiss Engineering’s Geneva section, she advocates for women’s visibility and leadership in STEM. Awarded France’s 2025 Woman Engineer of the Year, she co-founded WOMENVAI, an NGO empowering women and youth through science, technology, and environmental action, while promoting gender equality in engineering globally.
