23 Future Work
The future work on the intelligent applications use case could expand across several key areas:
• Standards development related to the use case: The resources will be used to strengthen
collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and promote the
development of relevant ITU standards. This will enhance the accessibility and service
quality of medical large models, contributing to the achievement of Universal Health
Coverage. By leveraging standards related to medical large models, we aim to explore
viable pathways for applying AI across various healthcare service fields.
• Data collection and model development: These resources will enhance the quality of
medical training data, refine and improve the models through continuous fine-tuning
and post-training, and strengthen the capabilities of medical knowledge graphs and
intelligent agents.
3 Use Case Requirements
• REQ-01: The medical large models behind the intelligent applications can interact with
users through text, images, and voice, instead of other modalities.
• REQ-02: The intelligent applications were developed to provide strong language
processing and generation capabilities, as well as medical service invocation capabilities,
for users in China. It currently supports Chinese and English, and it may not provide strong
services for other languages.
• REQ-03: It is critical that the usage of the medical large models must comply with all local
regulations and guidelines related to digital services, data handling, and language use
with China.
