Abstract :

In accordance with Plenipotentiary Conference Decision 11 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022), the Chair of the CWG-WSIS&SDG submitted a four-year report of the CWG-WSIS&SDG (Document C26/10) to the 2026 session of the Council for consideration and submission of recommendations to the 2026 Plenipotentiary Conference on the need to maintain, modify, terminate or establish the CWG for the next period.
The Council noted the report contained in Document C26/10 and agreed to transmit it to the Plenipotentiary Conference, together with the summary record of the meeting capturing Council Member States' recommendations and views.
This report summarizes the main activities and achievements of CWG WSIS&SDG over the four-year period 2023-2026, in accordance with Plenipotentiary Conference Resolution 140 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022), and Council Resolutions 1332 (Mod. 2024) and 1334 (Mod. 2023). The extract of the summary record of the sixth Plenary meeting of the 2026 session of the Council reflecting the recommendations and views of the Council Member States is attached to this report as Annex 2.
