Abstract :

In accordance with Plenipotentiary Conference Decision 11 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022), the Chair of the CWG-Internet submitted a four-year report of the CWG Internet (Document C26/52) to the 2026 session of the Council for consideration and submission of recommendations to the 2026 Plenipotentiary Conference on the need to maintain, modify, terminate or establish the CWG for the next period.
The Council noted the report contained in Document C26/52 and agreed to transmit it to the Plenipotentiary Conference, together with the summary record of the meeting capturing Council Member States' recommendations and views.
This report summarizes the main activities and achievements of CWG-Internet over the period 2022-2026 in accordance with Resolutions 102 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022) and 140 (Rev. Bucharest, 2022) and Council Resolutions 1305 (Mod. 2019) and 1336 (Mod. 2019). The extracts of the summary records of the third and fourth plenary meetings of the 2026 session of the Council reflecting the recommendations and views of the Council Member States are attached to this report as annexes, Annex 2 and Annex 3 respectively.
