Abstract :

The study groups of the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) provide a neutral platform where experts from governments, industry, telecommunication organizations and academia from around the world gather to produce practical tools and resources to address development issues. Questions for study are decided every four years at the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC).
ITU-D Study Group 1 (SG1) was established to examine, issues relating to the enabling environment for the development of telecommunications/information and communication technologies (ICTs). To that end the ITU-D membership assembled at WTDC-17 (Buenos Aires, 2017) adopted seven study Questions. This report summarizes the activities carried out for the seventh study period (2018-2022).
