Promoting and Measuring Universal and Meaningful Connectivity
To accelerate progress toward universal and meaningful connectivity (UMC), the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau and the European Commission launched the project Promoting and Measuring Universal and Meaningful Connectivity, funded by the European Union.
The project seeks to promote UMC as a policy objective, enhance the quality and availability of related statistics, and identify effective policies. As part of this initiative, regional workshops for policymakers and statisticians are organized to support the integration of UMC into digital strategies, build national capacity to produce and disseminate UMC data, and facilitate the exchange of good practices.
