Stakeholders, including public and private sectors, NGOs, civil society and very importantly the
city inhabitants themselves, can work collectively as partners to establish good governance as an
institutional mechanism. Creating a public-private-people partnership (PPPP) through a rich urban
ecosystem is critical. Engaging and working with stakeholders through shared platforms to make
the best use of cities’ collective capital and to ensure inclusivity are important for success. City
agency(ies) can engage a broad set of stakeholders during the governance of guiding principles
for AI in cities.
