Generation Connect - Asia and the Pacific Youth Group (GC-ASP)

​​​​​​​​​​​​GC ASP Photo.jpgThe ITU Youth Strategy aims to improve and have a real impact on the lives of young people around the world, and to ensure meaningful participation of youth in ITU as key stakeholders in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

In line with the ITU Youth Strategy and within the framework of the “Generation Connect" global initiative, Asia and the Pacific Youth were called upon to contribute to the preparatory process for the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC​), in particular the Regional Preparatory Meeting (RPM) for Asia and the Pacific, through the establishment of the Generation Connect - Asia and the PacificYouth Group (GC-ASP).

The Members of Asia and the Pacific Youth Group, consisting of young people aged between 18 and 24, coming from all around Asia and the Pacific, will represent its youth community to discuss the challenges and opportunities on how youth could better support the achievement of the SDG at the RPM-ASP Side-Event "Generation Connect Asia and the Pacific: youth empowerment for a digital future"

The Youth Group, connected under the Generation Connect - Asia and the Pacific, will continue its work, participate in activities in the Asia and the Pacific region, and provide valuable contributions related to the organization of the WTDC​ Generation Connect Global Youth Summit to be held on 6-7 November 2021, back to back with WTDC​​, 8-19 November 2021, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
