How can I access and upload documents to the informal FTP areas?

Using a FTP client to access and upload documents

An FTP client is a software which uses the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to transfer files to and from a remote computer.
Before starting you should have an FTP client installed in your machine. HYPERLINK "https://filezilla-project.org/"FileZilla is a free, open-source FTP client for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

FTP Settings:
Note: # is to be replaced with the corresponding Study Group number.
Remote hostname: ifa.itu.int
Remote directory for Study Groups 2 to 17: /t/2013/sg#/
Remote directory for TSAG: /t/2013/tsag/

Using a web browser to access documents

When prompted for a username and password, log in with your TIES or your Guest account

Using a web browser to upload documents
You can open the FTP area in a Windows Explorer window using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Other browsers offer extensions or applications which provide access to FTP servers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Note: # is to be replaced with the corresponding Study Group number.
Type ftp://ifa.itu.int/t/2013/sg#/ on the address bar.
Log in with your TIES or Guest account.

To view the FTP site in Windows Explorer, press ALT, click View and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox:
