The ITU Library and Archives Service acquires, preserves and
provides access to a wide range of materials on telecommunications
and related topics and on the history of ITU from 1865 to the
present day. Our holdings include published works (print and
electronic) and unique archival materials.
Visiting the Library and Archives:
The Library and Archives are open to
public reference and consultation, although there are
access
restrictions on some types of documents.
Researchers who wish to consult ITU historical materials or
specialized resources on telecommunications must register with the
Library and Archives Service before their
visit to ensure that the materials will be
available and that a librarian or archivist will be present to
provide information on using the collections. Please complete our
Researcher
Registration Form and send it to us at least one week before
your visit.
The
Library and Archives offer limited reference service to external
researchers who are unable to visit in person. Please use
the Reference Request Form to
send us your question.
Hours:
The Library and Archives Reading Room is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 –
17:00 without interruption.
Location:
The Reading Room is located on the sixth floor
of the Montbrillant building. Visitors to ITU must register at the
reception desk at the Montbrillant building or the Tower and provide
a valid ID with photo. For more information on locating our
