Summary: For the first time in the history of computing, we must identify and manage fully autonomous applications, Agentic AI, that can dynamically discover other entities, operate across administrative and authentication/authorization domains, and interact with external applications autonomously at machine speed. This draft recommendation aims to address this paradigm shift, which gives rise to new requirements for identity management of Agentic AI by a) standardizing the terminology around the Agentic AI ecosystem and b) developing design guidelines for Agentic AI Identity Management.
