Summary:
|
This draft Recommendation defines a framework architecture for trust enhancing consent management to enable user confidence on personally identifiable information (PII) to support user-centric data control, dynamic consent processing and sharing, while embedding PII principles. The framework enables PII data to be managed transparently and confidentially in accordance with user preferences and evolving data protection frameworks. By embedding PII principles and runtime consent mechanisms, the framework empowers individuals to retain user-centric control over their PII data at all times; facilitate the confidential and transparent use of data across distributed systems; promote the sharing of high-quality data by reinforcing user confidence; support collaborative, adaptive environments that are responsive to diverse user roles and contextual needs. These enhancements are expected to improve trust assurance, enable runtime user control based on trust, strengthen system trustworthiness, and promote responsible data exchange among stakeholders in information and communication technology (ICT) environments.
