Summary:
|
In the medical field, the use of colour images is becoming increasingly important for both diagnosis and treatment. However, much of today’s medical image processing lacks standardization with respect to colour, and healthcare professionals face numerous challenges when working with colour images.
At the previous SG21 meeting, the newly approved recommendation ITU-T F.780.6 (03/2025) – “Requirements for colourimetry for telemedicine systems using ultra-high definition imaging” was consented and this Recommendation gives the framework for using colour in digital medical systems.
