Summary: This draft Recommendation focuses on the Requirements of data processing and management (DPM) for digital twin-based smart cities and communities. The proposed standard addresses the limitations of conventional DPM frameworks, which are insufficient for handling the real-time, dynamic, and spatiotemporally correlated data flows essential for digital twin operations. The core of this draft Recommendation is to specify the enhanced capabilities required for DPM to facilitate the closed-loop interaction between physical entities and virtual entities. This document structures these requirements into three key areas: P2V Synchronization Support, Data-Driven Model and Simulation Support, and V2P Control Support, which boost operational efficiency for smart cities while advancing global collaboration in the digital transformation of cities.
