Summary:
|
As SSC&C increasingly rely on intelligent transportation system, IoT infrastructures in roadside traffic perception, consisting of roadside sensing devices, roadside communication devices, traffic manage devices, edge clouds and core clouds, play a crucial role in providing real-time traffic monitoring, infrastructure management and mobility services, and face various security challenges due to their distributed architecture, heterogeneous devices, and open communication environments.
This draft new Recommendation provides a standardized security requirements and framework to safeguard IoT infrastructures in roadside traffic perception for ITS against security threats. It aims to ensure the safe, trusted, and resilient operation of such systems.
