Through modern information and communication technologies (ICTs), a public smart charging service is provided in the smart city [ITU-T Y.4230]. With the rapid increase of the share of electric vehicles (EVs) in the city, more and more EV users put forward high security request for the public smart charging service.
Different from common security protection scenarios, the public smart charging service, due to being distributed and exposed outdoors, performing remote centralized control and maintenance, and handling transactions, payments and user data, demands high cybersecurity, communication and data security requirements. Therefore, this draft new Recommendation provides security risks, security requirements and security capabilities from the aspects of the electricity exchange platform, the smart charging platform, EV charging stations and terminals.
