Summary: With the development of new information and communication technologies in the industrial IoT (IIoT) infrastructure, various IIoT systems will further drive smart manufacturing towards networked, digitalized, and intelligent evolution. Currently, there are no identified standards specifying the performance evaluation framework of IIoT systems in smart manufacturing. It is necessary to study performance evaluation of the IIoT systems based on the comprehensive requirements of smart manufacturing services. This draft Recommendation defines a set of performance evaluation factors and establishes a performance evaluation framework of industrial IoT (IIoT) systems in smart manufacturing. The purpose of this Recommendation is to strengthen support for the operation of various IIoT systems for smart manufacturing by defining a performance evaluation framework.
