Summary:
|
Today's healthcare systems are under great pressure to deliver high-quality care in the face of aging world population and changing patient expectations - and to do so while becoming more efficient, competitive, and sustainable. Intelligent healthcare (IH) is the application of new information and communication technologies (ICTs) such as the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), etc. to establish intelligent healthcare systems.
This draft Recommendation aims to fill this critical gap by defining a reference architecture and standardized requirements that integrate IoT, AI/ML technologies within a healthcare context. Also, this recommendation will provide essential guidance for stakeholders including healthcare providers, device manufacturers, telecom operators, and AI developers to design, deploy, and manage IoT-based intelligent healthcare systems. It will also serve as a foundational reference for future work on performance evaluation, security certification, and interoperability testing in intelligent healthcare ecosystems.
