Summary: Modern families are undergoing structural changes characterized by an aging population and dual-income households, leading to prominent issues such as insufficient time for healthcare and safety monitoring of the older people, and a shortage of eldercare resources (such as the scarce professional caregiver). Equipped with capabilities like intelligent analysis, dexterous upper limb movement, etc., intelligent robots are becoming more intelligent and adaptive. They can effectively meet user needs in smart home management and caregiving. For the family healthcare, intelligent robots should be able to realize the perception of the physical environment, precise operation and autonomous interaction with the physical world, environmental understanding, and autonomous decision-making. By integrating the core capabilities of perception, decision-making, execution, and human-robot interaction in the framework, intelligent robots should dynamically adjust and provide specific services according to the user's needs and the current environment. Relying on a strong AI-based technological foundation and the capability foundation of interaction, perception, etc., the intelligent robots can dynamically adapt to the environment and provide services such as health management, security care, and emergency response with the older people. The purpose of the application of intelligent robots in family healthcare is to significantly liberate the time and ease the pressure of family members by providing natural and trustworthy services and to improve the quality of life and security of the general public.
