Summary:
|
Q6/SG13 in ITU-T has developed a set of deterministic technologies, including for large scale and for local scale network, latency and jitter guarantee technologies and scheduling mechanisms, an so on. But from the specific service’s point of view, how can they employ the technologies to achieve an end-to-end QoS assurance for the remote device control services is still a difficult issue, because the lack of the link between the specific remote device control services end-to-end QoS assurance and the generic deterministic communication technologies. So, an overlay functional architecture incorporating the existing technologies is needed to achieve the end-to-end QoS assurance of the remote device control services.
On the basis of ITU-T Y.3147 “QoS requirements and framework of deterministic communication for remote device control services over IMT-2020 and beyond”, further standardize the functional architecture for QoS assurance for remote device control services over IMT-2020 and beyond in order to clarify the functional architecture and functional entities under the QoS requirement and framework specified in Y.3147.
