As digital twin network (DTN) architecture defined in Y.3090, continuous emulation and optimization of the inner loop are crucial for the network digital twin layer to complete pre-validation before applying optimal strategy to the physical network. Network verification technology can effectively verify network optimization strategies and configurations, helping DTN systems achieve closed-loop control objectives.
So far, network verification for DTN has not been addressed in other SDOs as well as in ITU-T. In order to provide industry guidance on the relevant scenarios and categories of network verification, and guide industry to leverage existing network verification methods/tools or develop innovative methods or tools for building DTN system. It is urgently necessary to study the technical requirements of network verification for DTN.
