In IMT-2020 networks and beyond, the control plane is a pool of control related network functionalities which enable control functions such as communications control, sensing control, computing control, artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML) control, multi-access control, service control, and energy efficiency control. This Recommendation specifies the general considerations, requirements, functional architecture, network function enhancements, procedures and security considerations of control plane, in the context of IMT-2020 networks and beyond. This Recommendation provides a guideline and a solution for control plane for IMT-2020 networks and beyond.
