Summary:
|
The purpose of this proposal is to promote the development of telecommunications in the maritime environment by encouraging, through the development of economic and regulatory standards, the sharing of optical fibre between offshore platforms. The goal is to improve connectivity in marine areas while reducing costs for operators through a collaborative approach. This model also promotes reduced environmental impact and better utilization of existing infrastructure. The economic approach will address, inter alia, the model of cost-sharing between users of the FO infrastructure, and the regulatory approach, measures to encourage infrastructure sharing, dispute settlement, commercial agreements.
