Summary: The metaverse represents a vast virtual space composed of various virtual worlds, each with its distinct purpose and characteristics. In smart cities, digital twin serves as a key component for integrating the virtual and physical worlds. The reference model defines the integration enabler to facilitate the integration of digital twins and the metaverse. However, in the smart city scenario of metaverse, the integration enabler in the reference model faces some risk source, such as information tampering by digital twins of traffic signals, information leakage of urban management data, forgered control requests of public service, and unauthorized access to urban infrastructure interactions. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the risk source and security requirements for the integration enabler in the reference model to ensure the security of enabling integration of virtual and physical worlds of the metaverse in smart city. This recommendation analyzes the risk source of enabling integration of virtual and physical worlds of the metaverse in smart city and provides the security requirements for it.
