Summary: With QKD networks emerging as essential infrastructures for secure communication, especially in sectors requiring high confidentiality (e.g., government, finance, grids), it is critical to ensure their stability, performance, and security, the monitoring parameters will enable effective network management, troubleshooting, and proactive security oversight. The motivation for monitoring parameters in QKD networks includes: ensuring network stability and reliability, securing cryptographic assurance, optimizing operational efficiency, supporting interoperability, facilitating troubleshooting and maintenance, enabling regulatory compliance and auditing. This TR is designed to establish a robust framework for monitoring that supports the stability, security, and operational efficiency of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) networks. By defining consistent and comprehensive monitoring parameters, the technical report aims to provide a foundation for detecting potential threats, managing network performance, and maintaining the health of critical components. As QKD technology evolves and networks continue to expand in scope and complexity, this approach to monitoring will ensure that QKD networks can operate reliably and securely, meeting the rigorous demands of sensitive sectors and adapting to future technological advancements.
