Summary:
|
High-throughput services are capable of transmitting vast amounts of data, ranging from terabytes (TB) to petabytes (PB), across a network within a specified timeframe. Traditional content delivery networks (CDNs) exhibit low upload efficiency when handling data in the TB to PB range, rendering them inadequate for such services. Building upon CDN technologies, this Recommendation specifies the requirements and framework for multi-path transmission and management, facilitating parallel content delivery and effectively supporting high-throughput services. With this Recommendation, service providers who provide high-throughput content delivery can build a standardized high-throughput content delivery systems by taking advantage of the framework of this Recommendation. In addition, these service providers can build content delivery systems that support high-throughput services different from traditional content delivery systems through more efficient content uploading and delivery
