Summary: Traditional power grid is undergoing profound transformations, with large-scale renewable energy generation and distributed clean energy increasingly becoming dominant. As high proportions of clean energy and a massive number of intelligent power distribution terminals equipped with power sensing technologies are integrated, the types, frequency, and quality of data collected by power grid sensing information are enhanced. The volume and dimensions of data are experiencing exponential growth, forming a vast sensing network in power grid. The Internet of things (IoT) as a relatively new technology is transforming sensing network in power grid to further enhance sensing data transformation services. However, this transformation concomitantly creates a need for effective reliability evaluation framework of IoT-based sensing network in power grid. This recommendation specifies the reliability evaluation framework of IoT-based sensing network in power grid. Based on existing IoT-based network evaluation standards, the main factors of the reliability evaluation are stability, fault-tolerance, maintainability and security. This framework provides a comprehensive reference for reliability evaluation of IoT-based sensing network in power grid.
