Summary:
|
IoT-based electric power infrastructure monitoring system (IoT-EPIMS) relies on a large number of sensing devices for data acquisition and operational control. With the digitalization of the electric power industry, the number and diversity of sensing devices have been increasing, especially different security requirements stemming from the different electric power services.
To enhance the security of IoT-EPIMS, this Supplement expands on ITU-T Y.4221. It identifies the entities involved in the connections for sensing devices to access IoT-EPIMS and the associated security risks. It specifies both the security requirements and capabilities for these entities. Furthermore, use cases are provided in Appendix.
