Summary:
|
Smart Pest and Disease Management (SPDM) service is an ICT-based agricultural service that integrates IoT sensors, edge devices, and data analytics to enable real-time monitoring, forecasting, and control of crop pests and diseases. It supports early detection and targeted interventions using multi-source data, enhancing sustainability and reducing reliance on manual scouting and excessive pesticide use. This draft Recommendation specifies data requirements, and data models for SPDM services. To address challenges related to data inconsistency and lack of interoperability, the draft Recommendation aims to standardized data models to enable scalable, adaptive, and vendor-neutral SPDM solutions across diverse agricultural environments.
