Summary:

The sustainable transition mainly focuses on two aspects. On the one hand, the telecommunications/ICT sector needs to care about sustainable transition, such as promoting the use of clean energy, the application of green technologies, accelerating the recycling of resources and precise management of GHG emissions. On the other hand, telecommunication/ICT also have potential to empower green transition by increasing energy efficiency, reducing GHG emission, eliminating pollution and so on.
This Technical Report will explore technical frameworks for sustainable transition assessment in cities, provide possible qualitative and quantitative analysis of the transition, and suggest evaluation method and application of evaluation results. The Technical Report describes a comprehensive evaluation system of sustainable transition in cities, such as evaluation of basic capability of transitions, industrial development brought by transformation, green level of ICT industry etc., providing reference for policy making, city construction, development level forecasting.
