Summary:
|
According to ITU-T Y.3184, intelligent awareness of network status (INSA) refers to technologies and methods of network status awareness that are enhanced by machine learning and other artificial intelligence technologies. Also, according to ITU-T Y. IMT2020-DIC, distributed intelligence collaboration provides capabilities that enable complex AI tasks to be accomplished through the communication and collaboration of multiple computing components or functional agents at different locations in networks. By incorporating distributed intelligence collaboration technologies into intelligent awareness of network status, AI atomic capabilities, such as data analysis, deep learning, machine learning, knowledge engineering, etc., can be automatically combined, encapsulated, and dispatched based on multi-dimensional factors related to INSA, including task requirements, network environments, computational resources, and business scenarios. Different network awareness tasks are assigned and intelligently organized and reconfigured in a hierarchical and graded manner. This facilitates cross-layer and cross-domain collaboration and support the network status awareness task to become more efficient, intelligent and accurate, as well as to allocate resources efficiently. This approach not only enhance the overall network management and maintenance, but also addresses the inevitable challenges posed by future large-scale and complex network environments.
It should also be noted that the following aspects need to be carefully considered in the development of this new Recommendation: 1) Coordination and centralized control based on AI analysis (algorithmic based determination of actions) has extensive overhead associated with it; 2) User data must neither be accessed nor cleansed.
In summary, it is useful to initiate a new Recommendation of mechanism for intelligent awareness of network status enhanced by distributed intelligence collaboration.
