Summary: AI-based cognitive inference system (AI-CIS) for multimedia applications is a system which is used to do inference tasks with multimedia data to complete multimedia applications. The cognitive inference workflow is divided into four steps, problem acquisition, problem deconstruction, answer inference and answer validation. This Recommendation aims to clarify specific characteristics from the multimedia data and help people solve complex problems. This Recommendation provides an overview of the AI-based cognitive inference system, and specifies requirements and framework for AI-based cognitive inference system for multimedia applications.
