The global webinar was held to share preliminary findings and recommendations from the forthcoming report Artificial intelligence and ageing: inclusive pathways for older persons in a digital world, jointly developed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with EY and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). The report examines how artificial intelligence is shaping the lives of older persons, with a focus on digital inclusion, participation, and well‑being in later life.
The webinar was delivered in two sessions—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—and presented key preliminary findings on the opportunities and challenges at the intersection of artificial intelligence and ageing. It convened experts for discussions that underscored the importance of inclusive, age‑ and gender‑responsive approaches to ensure that digital transformation benefits older persons.
