International Telegraph Conference (Lisbon, 1908)

4 May 1908 - 11 June 1908 - Lisbon, Portugal

At this conference the regulations for the international service and the tables of international tariffs were revised and annexed to the International Telegraph Convention, St. Petersburg (1875).

The name of the International Bureau was changed to the “International Bureau of the Telegraph Union" and was authorized to act as the central body for the Radiotelegraph Service.

The names of radiotelegraph stations would be inserted in the Official List of Telegraph Offices.

Finally, a project to erect a monument in Berne to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Union was approved.
