Contribution : There are many challenges for persons with disabilities in accessing and using the Internet, in particular the lack of accessibility of websites and web software poses severe challenges to persons with disabilities, because the Web is today the predominant interface to the Internet. In fact, the Web provides unparalleled opportunities for persons with disabilities to fully participate independently and equally in all aspects of society. This includes current web-based information systems, such as mobile website and applications, as well as future technologies such as those based on the Internet of Things. In line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD), it is essential to ensure implementation of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines for web accessibility, to ensure access to information and services provided on the Web, as a critical part of the Internet.
