ICANN is honored to take
part in this valuable consultation on the issue of policy and regulation with
respect the provision of Internet Services. While ICANN only has a small role
with respect to Internet services in the overall Internet Governance Ecosystem
we do have concerns, directly related to our Mission, on practices and
processes that undermine the openness and
interoperability of the Internet. We look forward to discussion of these issues
at the Open Consultation Session in September.
