Background
Following a successful TSAG Correspondence Group on Conformance and Interoperability Testing (CIT) and two workshops, SG 17 recognized that there was a need for better collaboration and improved sharing of results on CIT among all study groups. SG 17 established a Joint Coordination Activity (JCA) on CIT as a means for facilitating information sharing and collaboration. The JCA-CIT includes participation from relevant ITU-T study groups and relevant outside bodies such as ETSI, ISO and OMA.
At its first meeting of the 2009-2012 study period (Geneva, 28-30 April 2009), TSAG agreed to the continuation of the JCA-CIT with updated terms of reference (see below).
Organization of the JCA-CIT
The JCA-CIT plans to operate during this study period (2009-2012) primarily by electronic means, such as e-mail and conference calls. The Convener is Mr. Ostap Monkewich. This JCA-CIT web page is the place where all documents including the minutes of the meetings will be available.
The JCA-CIT comprises a representative of each study group (see Doc 0). The JCA-CIT will include participation from all interested ITU-T study groups. Representatives from some external organizations (Standards Development Organizations and Forums) will also be invited. These persons will be added to the JCA-CIT mailing list.
The JCA-CIT membership list will be maintained by the ITU TSB and published on this JCA-CIT web page.
