Erica CAMPILONGO

​​​​​​​​​​Erica CAMPILONGO has been working for the UN specialized agency on ICT, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), since 2011. Currently, she is part of the Academia Team of the ITU’s Standardization Bureau, which aims at establishing collaborations with academic and scientific institutions around the world on areas of common interest. Her job includes contributing to the editorial and publication activities of two international, professional, peer-reviewed journals: ITU Journal on Future and Evolving Technologies (ITU J-FET) and Intelligent and Converged Networks. She also supports the organization of the ITU Kaleidoscope academic conferences, managing special sessions and exhibitions of the programme. Prior to this role E​rica collaborated to the design, management and implementation of projects, studies and events related to ICT, climate change and environmental sustainability, within the Study Group Division of the ITU’s Standardization Bureau. Before joining ITU, Erica worked for the Italian Mission in Geneva and for the European Parliament in Brussel, writing reports and conducting studies on innovation, and humanitarian and social affairs. Erica holds a BA in International and European Law and a MA in International Relations from the University of Milan, which included one year of study in France at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon III under the Erasmus European Exchange Programme. She speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and German. ​
