Mohammad Naushad Ali Chowdhury, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh was born in 1957 in Chittagong in Bangladesh. He obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He joined Bangladesh Bank as Assistant Director in 1983 and progressively maintained high esteem and reputation as dedicated, committed and proactive professional in the central bank. He progressively managed various important portfolio of assignment in various core areas of central banking. His past working areas include among others; bank supervision and foreign exchange. He also managed regional office of the central bank in Chittagong as regional head.
As executive director Mr. Mohammad Naushad Ali Chowdhury has been assigned the responsibilities of supervision, financial intelligence unit, financial inclusion and sustainable finance areas. Mr. Chowdhury took part in many international and national workshop, seminar and training courses in the area of central banking, supervision, prudential regulation and financial inclusion. Currently he is a member of the board of directors of Kormasongsthan (Employment) Bank which is a public sector development financial institution. He is also engaged in managing one of the largest public sector bank in Bangladesh as observer to the board appointed by the central bank.
