Training on "Green ICT Policies and Standards", jointly organized by CRBAS, ECLAC, and ITU
Nassau, The Bahamas, 16 December 2015

Introduction

ITU together with Basel Convention Regional Centre for the Caribbean Region (BCRC-Caribbean), Basel Convention Regional Centre for South America and United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is organizing the Training on Green ICT Policies and Standards.
This training will discuss the role of ICTs in promoting environmental sustainability and propagate the agenda of international agreements on environmental issues such as climate change and e-waste management.

The training will also focus on how international standards developed by ITU can help leverage the potential of ICTs to tackle environmental issues.
The training will bring together leading specialists in the field, from top policy-makers to engineers, designers, planners, government officials, regulators, standards experts and others.
