ITU offers training to CONATEL’ staff in Paraguay

imageFrom 6 to 10 October 2014, the ITU organized a training workshop on “Telecommunications for non-technicians” with the duration of 40 hours in the premises of the Paraguayan Administration (CONATEL).

The training was addressed to non-technicians from CONATEL conveying to participants, in a clear and simple manner, fundamentals and mains aspects of telecommunication networks, the evolution of technologies presenting the fundamental concepts and practical examples, among other relevant issues, such as next-generation network –NGN and convergence, regulatory aspects of new generation, services of mobile roaming, IP network among other topics related to trend of the sector. In addition, the main aspects of the Telecommunications Plan of Paraguay was also presented by a professional from CONATEL.



The training was delivered by the ITU expert Professor Ruben Kustra, Electrical Engineer. The activity included 33 participants from CONATEL and a survey allowed participants to express their high level of satisfaction with the activity, the adequacy of the content and the fulfillment of its objectives, as well as the knowledge acquired.

At the end of the workshop, participants received a certificate issued by the ITU for their participation and approval in the course.
