Scope of collaboration:
- The ITU and ISSA signed a cooperation agreement in June 2018 to provide support to ITU’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Further info: They cooperate with one another in the following areas, at a global, regional and/or national level, as appropriate:
- Joint development of publications, guidelines and recommendations in ICT areas relevant for social security institutions, among these cybersecurity; digital identity and communications Infrastructure, in particular mobile, and for digital inclusion;
- Data collection for joint ICT-related indexes, including the ITU Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI)
- Organization of topical sessions in events of the ISSA and ITU;
- Promote good practices as well as the reinforcement of technical capacities for social security institutions in ICT-related areas, through national, regional and international initiatives (e.g. National Cybersecurity Strategies, establishment of Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) among others).
