Although public switched telecommunications services have been
privatized, Telkom S.A. (http://www.telkom.co.za/)
is currently the sole operator authorized to provide such
services in South Africa.
There are currently two mobile operators; MTN (http://www.mtn.co.za/)
and Vodacom (http://www.vodacom.co.za/).
Further information on the South African telecommunication
