This Recommendation specifies the requirements and capabilities of name mapping and resolution to achieve high performance such as low latency and scalability for a massive number of named objects for information centric networking in IMT-2020. (1) It provides an introduction to name mapping and resolution in IMT-2020. (2) It describes service and functional requirements of name mapping and resolution. (3) Based on the requirements, it specifies the capabilities of name mapping and resolution for information centric networking in IMT-2020.
