This recommendation defines the interface that enables the Service Client in the Customer Network to send requests for IPTV content to the IPTV Service Functions in the Operator Network. Examples of IPTV content include digital video and audio program content, plus the metadata describing the program content. Examples IPTV requests include requests for broadcast or VOD content, requests to manipulate VOD content delivery (pause, play, rewind, etc), and requests to record content for later viewing.
